The Albert Hall - was built in 1886 AD by Colonel Sir Swinton Jacob, in honour of the King Edward the Seventh's visit to Jaipur. The
mansion, built in Indo-Saracenic style, is centrally located amidst the beautiful Ram Niwas Garden, surrounded by pools, fountains and rows of flowerbeds. The stately structure houses a collection of rare paintings, which date back to a few hundred years' old, exquisite jewellery, chiseled brassware,
pottery and natural stones, ivory goods, metal sculptures and crystal works.
Besides portraying the culture of India and Rajasthan, the place also displays Egyptian mummies and dolls and toys of various countries. The highlight among the displays is the magnificent Persian Garden Carpet at the Durbar Hall, depicting the Garden of Paradise.
